Easter Bible Verses about Jesus as the One and Only Son
As the Son of God, Jesus is the one and only pathway to salvation. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins, and His resurrection offers us the hope of eternal life. He is Christ Jesus, the anointed one foretold in the Bible.
22 “Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a Man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know—
26 And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. 27 So he came by the Spirit into the temple. And when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do for Him according to the custom of the law,
45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
2 Now while in prison, John heard about the works of Christ, and he sent word by his disciples, 3 and said to Him, “Are You the Coming One, or are we to look for someone else?”
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
15 John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ ”
10 And so the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; 11 for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

Easter Bible Verses about the Cross and Jesus’ Crucifixion
The soldiers led Jesus away into the palace and called together the whole assembly. Jesus called to God, “Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing.” Luke 23:33-34 NIV. And it wasn’t long before thy raised Christ onto the cross and he was Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. Though Lord Jesus was the living hope of God’s grace, it looked like everything was going according to man’s evil plan.
25 Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.
2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—
22 And they brought him to the place called Golgotha (which means Place of a Skull). 23 And they offered him wine mixed with myrrh, but he did not take it. 24 And they crucified him and divided his garments among them, casting lots for them, to decide what each should take.
23 Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death;
24 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”

Easter Bible Verses about Sacrifice
God raised a perfect man in Christ Jesus but he was always going to be “our Passover lamb.” In his last moments, Jesus reaches out with a loud voice, “Father” he exclaims, entrusting His spirit to God before a nearby centurion praised God and said “Surely this was a righteous man.” Jesus died on the cross to take away our sins and rose again, defeating death. This is what Easter is all about and it is a great mercy for us to have this escape from sin.
28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
6 For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
12 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. 2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
46 Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.
47 The centurion, seeing what had happened, praised God and said, “Surely this was a righteous man.”

Easter Bible Verses about the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ
Mary the mother comes to the place where they laid Him and learns of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Raising Christ from the dead is the core tenant of the Christian faith, the purpose for celebrating Easter Sunday, and a great hope through the resurrection. Looking for Jesus, Mary finds him and embraces him.
Jesus gathers all the apostles after being raised from the dead and they are all gifted with the ability to speak many different languages, ushering in the Christian era.
2 And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3 but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
6 He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Remember what he told you back in Galilee, 7 that the Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again on the third day.”
20 and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to be condemned to death, and crucified Him.
14 And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
21 For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead.
5 But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.
18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, 19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.
11 If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
8 Then the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed; 9 for as yet they did not understand the Scripture, that he must rise from the dead.
26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
16 When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body. 2 Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb 3 and they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?” 4 But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. 5 As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. 6 “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.

Easter Bible Verses about Being Saved
Jesus answered the call, became Christ Jesus who died for the remission of our sins, and was raised from the dead. Now we must too answer the call. After learning of the resurrection and the life of Jesus, it is only through him that we can be saved. Easter is the perfect time to reflect on the saving grace of Jesus Christ and bring yourself closer to him.
17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
13 And when you were dead in your wrongdoings and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our wrongdoings, 14 having canceled the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
25 Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
